About Us

Hey folks! I'm Matt Cox, founder of Chorus Pickleball. I started this to unite two of my favorite things about pickleball: giving away my paddles for free to those wanting to try the sport, and finding the absolute best paddles I would love to use myself.  No overwhelming amount of options per paddle model, just the right combination of materials, size, shape and thickness and calling it DONE.

And a bonus third thing - quality apparel I'd wear out to play or on display when I'm out with friends and family.

Find Your Frequency

This is our motto and our mission. "Find Your Frequency" is the heart and soul of Chorus Pickleball.

TL;DR, frequency simply means "style" to us at Chorus.

Frequency is the specific sound and soul of your preferences. YOUR personal frequency is about your style of play, style of display, and sure - how frequent you love playing. We're all different players, united by the love of the sport. But NONE of us should settle for low quality paddles or apparel. Anything we make is suited for professional play and display.

Also, paddles have a literal frequency (measured in hertz) when you tap them - it makes a musical note! We will list those frequencies for every model.

Wait, back up. Did you say giving away paddles?

Yep. Introducing new players to the great community around here (McKinney, TX) by giving away my paddles I no longer use has been a big source of joy for me. But as my game got better, the prices of what I'm buying got much higher.  The giving away part got REAL expensive, but I wanted to keep doing this. So I thought maybe I could dedicate more money up front and save money over time by making my own quality paddle in a large quantity to then give away one at a time on a regular cadence.

So I did it.

And now Chorus's wide control model, the Chorus Daylight, is a high quality paddle made with materials pro players still compete with to this day.

But when we start launching our paddle lines in March/April 2024, I will be giving some of these away every month to those skeptical or who've never taken the plunge into the sport yet who need the extra push or couldn't justify the expense. (I will also continue to freely give them away on my own in my community.)

If you already PLAY pickleball, you can still buy the Chorus Daylight, too!

What about the other paddles?

For many, many months I've been researching the latest technology in cores, surfaces, construction methods and learning the difference between what is truly good and what is merely trendy. Taking this knowledge, I put it to use to make a few paddle models I would personally play with. This is the first phase.

The second phase of Chorus is deeper R&D. The intention for a second wave of paddle models is to be a part of the innovation of our sport and paddle tech by bringing more than a twist on current tech to market, but a whole new thing.

But first, we'll produce our new twists on the best of Gen 1.5, 2, and 3 paddles with pro-caliber, high quality construction at the best sustainable prices, which will still be lower than the big brands.

Why "Chorus?"

Chorus is about the profound sound of the sport and its welcoming community. It celebrates that any "voices" can be a part of this chorus, from the beginner enjoying the sport's low bar of entry to the pro refining their craft toward pickleball's still-rising high ceiling.
