Just like the classic Shapeshifter, this elite paddle features the unique 3D 18K cubic carbon fiber surface on a unibody mold with foam edges to maximize the sweet spot. The Shapeshifter will wow with its top tier spin in all directions due to the flexibility of the wide triaxial weave, amaze with its stability and control because of the super strong 18K carbon fiber tows, and give a power boost for full swing finishes and ground strokes.
There are multiple layers on each side of the polypropylene core to create a unique blend of soft, but poppy touch. The top surface layer is that breakthrough ultra-durable, yet flexible 3D 18K cubic carbon fiber in a stunning triaxial weave shape (Toray brand). It's that stable, yet flexible 18K surface that increases the dwell time the ball spends on the paddle before it exits. The second layer is Toray brand T700 carbon fiber. The bottom layer touching the polypropylene core is flexible fiberglass, acting as the strong backstop rebound to bring a dose of power to your full swings and overhead finishes.

This paddle is one of the best I have used.
I have been playing the Shapeshifter for about a month. I am 3.7 player. I was playing crbn 3x, diadem 18k. I find that the Shapeshifter provide greater control which I needed. I can generate power and when you strick hard and get to the fiberglass layer there is plenty of pop and power! Great paddle. Thanks Chorus :-)
I like the paddle. It's great on spin and better at it in my experience than a crbn 3x and joola perseus cfs. I think overhead smash shots have power but definitely lacks power in my forehand shots. I added a slyce cap and some tungsten tape. The paddle hits a little more solid and more quiet. I have no soft game, no resets, and no 3rd shot drop so I can't comment on those.

This is one of the best control paddles I have played with. I'm able to dink and drop very consistently. I would not consider this a poppy paddle although it does have a decent amount of power when you put forth the effort. If you are a banger, this is not the paddle for you.
