What else is there to say. Great control, power and pop when you need it. That is what pickleball is all about. If you’re a MLP pro, sure you want more power. Everyone else? This is your paddle.
I wanted a more all court type of paddle that could provide a good feel, control as well as power and I found these characteristics with the hybrid shape, 16mm. Although, I love the paddle and how it plays, I couldn't believe the company charges shipping fess on a product over $100. The paddle cover comes with high fume smell. Let it air out for few hours before putting on your bag.

I've been playing pickleball for about 6 weeks now but as a former sponsored racquetball player I have a lot of experience with various racquets for that sport. I'm enjoying the heck out of my new PB racquet from Chorus. I was unable due to injury and weight issues to play racquetball for the last 10 years and was thinking PB might be my way back to playing the sport. Now I'm thinking that as I progress as PB player, I might never go back to RB.
Very nice paddle, nice size sweet spot. Very easy to control, with just enough pop and power. I have only played with it a few times indoors so far, but will be using it outdoors soon. I might add weight to increase the sweet spot. Spin requires no extra effort it just happens.
Prior paddles were Vatic Prism 16mm Hybrid and Spartus Apollo 16mm widebody. I would say the Shapeshifter is a very nice upgrade to the Vatic Prism.
Been out with this paddle a few times. I like the responsiveness and feedback. Seems like a good quality and fun paddle.
Fantastic paddle! I understand why it’s named Shapeshifter. Can really get shape on the ball with this paddle. Love it!!
I like the look of the paddle. Feels good in my hand.However it feels very light at impact. A very soft feel when the pale hits the ball. Works well at resets and drop shots but drives and volleys feel weak. Seems more of a control paddle but sweet spot seems small. I am an adding weight to the paddle to hopefully increase the power/pop.
Wonderful paddle with good balance right out of the box. This paddle has a nice sweet spot and plenty of grip to put spin on the ball.

I have the original Shapeshifter and had to come back for a newer version. This is a great all court paddle, and is more affordable than other brands I’ve seen. Thank you Chorus for sending a great promotion code. The only negative is the paddle cover is hard to zip up. It is a little small. All in all I’m very happy with this paddle.

I used the OG Shapeshifter for a year and then switched to this one. So good! Lower swing weight but with a little tungsten tape, great power and control. I play 4.5+ and this paddle can hang with the other brands no problem. I even stopped using a Joola IV because this paddle is so much more reliable in tight pressured situations. The customer service is amazing too!
Great feel, control and spin and I'm not noticing any lack of power. I added 3g of weight on each side and am still experimenting with specific weight placement locations and amount to really dial it in.
I played Vatic Pro Prism Flash for a year. This paddle feels nice. I like it. It has better feedback. It took me a while to get use to it, but it felt good right away. Nice control but more power than vatic, and it’s super fast and light (one of the best features) Great Paddle. Haven’t had time yet to see it’s long term durability, but def worth it thus far
Much like OG Shapeshifter, it's a terrific paddle for my style of play. Needed a little weighting 2g on each side (4&8 position) and 2g top center. Excellent pop & power with very good control for softer shots. My 3rd paddle from Chorus (Fire, OG Shapeshifter and this one), IMO great product line an excellent customer service. Owner is also very responsive on any questions presented. Excellent overall.
My new paddle is great! I played pickleball 3.5 women’s pickleball and find it has the control and power I want and need. I got the hybrid model.
This paddle is one of the best I have used.
I have been playing the Shapeshifter for about a month. I am 3.7 player. I was playing crbn 3x, diadem 18k. I find that the Shapeshifter provide greater control which I needed. I can generate power and when you strick hard and get to the fiberglass layer there is plenty of pop and power! Great paddle. Thanks Chorus :-)
I like the paddle. It's great on spin and better at it in my experience than a crbn 3x and joola perseus cfs. I think overhead smash shots have power but definitely lacks power in my forehand shots. I added a slyce cap and some tungsten tape. The paddle hits a little more solid and more quiet. I have no soft game, no resets, and no 3rd shot drop so I can't comment on those.

This is one of the best control paddles I have played with. I'm able to dink and drop very consistently. I would not consider this a poppy paddle although it does have a decent amount of power when you put forth the effort. If you are a banger, this is not the paddle for you.
Paddle has same shape profile as the one I was using. Gives the same amount of control. Bonus gives more pop! Very pleased with the purchase.
