played Gen4 EPP paddle tt need constant mental note not to exceed 70% power or risk hitting ball out of court, and that's just on Serve. if controlled return is needed, mental limit of 70% have me ended with ball in net at times. I blame my skills but foam core does trampoline power.
So i downgraded to this Gen2 brought preloved. now i served deep inside opponent's court without self-power-restriction; that's mental liberty
and i started to lob because the triaxial CCF grit with softness and dwell, returning opponent's bang (if i managed to rcvd) with a back lob, forcing him to retreat from kitchen; it's great fun and an Upgrade in Playability. Power wise, i need to turn my torso n shoulder instead of just relying on arm/hand, forces me to correct my body movement for power generation.
All in all, it brings fun back to the court
As an avid pickleball player, I’ve tried my fair share of paddles, but the Shapeshifter from Chorus has truly elevated my game. This paddle is the perfect blend of power and control, making it ideal for all types of play, whether you’re at the net or in the backcourt. The 18K carbon fiber construction is incredibly responsive, offering excellent ball control without sacrificing the power needed for those fast, aggressive shots.
What I love most about the Shapeshifter is its versatility—whether you’re playing a fast-paced doubles game or a strategic singles match, it performs flawlessly on all courts. The grip is comfortable and ergonomic, allowing for long rallies without any discomfort. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my ability to place shots exactly where I want them, with a satisfying pop on every hit.
Overall, the Shapeshifter has exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a paddle that combines precision, power, and durability, look no further. Chorus has truly nailed it with this one!
Switching from my gearbox pro control I find the shapeshifter so much more reliable in touch and control while I find no dearth of power when I need to send one.
I love it. If anything, I would tweak the graphics on it. But I have a design background and can be nitpicky about most things.
I have been playing at a higher level after adopting the shapeshifter and am sure that the change of paddle has helped in that 😉
Best wishes to Chorus
I've love 6.0 DBD but it just doesn'thave enough power, after using G3, gerbox power pro, TBD. I've just can't find that balance point.
This paddle is that balance point I'm looking for. 10/10 recommend this paddle to anyone.
Nice all around paddle especially for 3rds, drops and defense, but pop when I need it. Just took 2nd place in the Victory Pickleball anniversary tournament. I’m 64 and the over 50 didn’t have enough teams so my mens partner (55) and I played against the young bucks in the open class. Won 10 of 12 games. Barely lost game 11 and 12. Really nice paddle!
I'm really happy with purchasing the Shapeshifter paddle and the company has great Customer Service! I added a Hesacore grip and Slyce Butt Cap but unfortunately haven't had a chance to try it out! While waiting to receive the paddle I tore my right calf muscle and will be unable to play for a few more weeks. The paddle looks and feels great, and I am anxious to use it!
Great out of the box.........AMAZING after adding personal mods to change the balance point twist and swing weight! This paddle plows through volleys, great pop and power and awesome topspin!! Can't wait for your ambassadorship program to start up in September.....pick me, pick me!!! ;-)
Great paddle. Love this thing & looks great. Pop & enough power when you need it. Works great for your soft game too. Great customer service. I struggle with a little bit of tennis elbow and requested a lower swing weight & received exactly that. I highly recommend this paddle. If you are looking for a great All court paddle that has a little extra power & pop when needed. The owner of this company cares about his customers. You can’t go wrong with the Shapeshifter. You will be happy to have this in your bag.
After seeing the great reviews on this paddle, I had to try it for myself. After researching the company, I reached out to the owner Matt as I wanted to see if he could send a specific weight for my paddle. He was very responsive and had the paddle at my house less than 3 days after submitting the order. I've been using this paddle for the last couple weeks and let me tell you it's taken my game to the next level. The paddle provides tons of spin and pop when I need it and my drops are almost effortless. I couldn't be happier with my purchase from first point of contact with Matt to the finished product and playability of the paddle. This is a great company to do business with!
I started off with a cheap Amazon paddle and once I was ready to upgrade I tried a few other top brand paddles from friends on the court, but I would always switch back to el cheapo. I went with Chorus due to the price point and the reviews. This paddle turned out to be my favorite paddle, it has great spin, control and sufficient power.
Thanks for the great paddle
Lacks some pop but overall a really good paddle.
Great paddle
I am playing better. That says it all.
Had this thing about a month and really like it, took about four times to unlock it. I play the “advanced intermediate” drop ins and win about 3/5. This was my first summer playing and have had a Friday Fever, this paddle feels like a natural upgrade. A lot of extra spin, similar amount of power and overall just slightly more stable for my top spin heavy play style. The biggest help is without changing anything about my serve I am just getting so-much extra spin I am getting more points just off that alone. With the extra spin I am hooking stuff out more and my slice backhand is weirder, but in another week (or two pieces of tape) I’ll probably sort that out.
Solid and hard hitting all around paddle with power and grit for control and spin.
Love this paddle and great people to deal w
Fantastic paddle!
Loving the Shapeshifter! Quality Pickleball Paddle, feels great in hand and the 18K Carbon Fiber gets some amazing spin! Chorus is a great company and their service is top notch! Thanks Chorus team!
Great!!!
Great spin and control. Power is there when you need it. Good price compared within market range. Definitely good buy.
All around goodness--great spin, control, with some pop for you. It is not a power paddle, but will do the job for most anyone looking for some touch to their game.
After seeing the review on JohnKew PB’s youtube channel I decided to give the Shapeshifter a try...his review was on point! The Shapeshifter has tons of control all the time and when you add more juice to the shot it’s fiberglass layer does not disappoint. Increasing the force of the shot delivers a surprising jump in velocity that catches opponents off guard. Love my Chorus Shapeshifter PB paddle!
I love this paddle, it is awesome. The white version I wanted was out of stock and had to wait to get it, but it was worth the wait. Thank you!
I have been playing with the shapeshifter for about a month. What a great paddle for dinks and resets or blocking a banger with control. This is a control paddle with plenty of pop and power when you need it. Great job Chorus!!
I know nothing about pickleball, or paddles, BUT this was a gift to my mother who is OBSESSED. Her trainer had this paddle and she’s been eying it for a while. Shes super happy with it!
